Community Service
I have been a public servant all of my life. I remember visiting nursing homes with my mother and grandmother who are both nurses. I would spend hours and days playing games with residents, building connections with them. I loved volunteering so much that my 13th birthday party was hosted at a rehabilitation house for patients with HIV/AIDS. From there, I volunteered all throughout high school and college at soup kitchens, domestic violence asylums, day cares and hospitals. I have volunteered for the following organizations:
-
JumpStart for Kids (Washington, DC)
-
Jericho Road (Buffalo, NY)
-
AmeriCorps VISTA (Buffalo, NY)
-
Niagara Lutheran Church Home (Buffalo, NY)
-
Justice for Juniors (Washington, DC)
-
Howard University Alternative Spring Break (Washington, DC, Belle Glade, Florida, St.Louis, Misouri, Accra, Ghana)
-
Miss America Organization (Buffalo, NY)
-
Buffalo City Hall (Buffalo, NY)
-
EforAll (Buffalo, NY)
-
Meals on Wheels (Niagara Falls, NY)
-

Alternative Spring Break- Accra, Ghana, Belle Glade, Florida, St. Louis, Missouri
Alternative Spring Break is an opportunity for college students to spend their spring break volunteering. During my time at Howard University, I got to participate in ASB three times, traveling to St.Louis, Belle Glade, and Accra, respectively. On these service trips, I met many people from different walks of life, taught in detention centers, schools and clinics for at-risk youth and women.

Miss Buffalo 2022
The Miss America Organization is a traditional pageant competition that awards over $6 million in scholarships to young women every year. I had the honor of winning the Miss Buffalo 2022 title, serving as a representative of the city I love. As Miss Buffalo, I partnered with schools, organizations and businesses to bring OYE to as many places in the city of Buffalo as possible.

AmeriCorps VISTA
The AmeriCorps VISTA program is federally recognized as a full year of volunteer service. During this year, I worked in Buffalo City Hall as a communications and marketing intern. I was able to work with local leadership, organizations and block clubs to organize resourceful programming throughout the city.
