A Death Cafe is a safe, open space where people gather to discuss death in a relaxed, non-judgmental setting. The goal is to foster meaningful conversations about mortality, reduce fear, and encourage reflection. These gatherings, often held in cafes or community spaces, allow participants to share personal experiences, thoughts, and feelings about death.
The atmosphere of a Death Cafe is generally informal, and the meetings are not intended to provide professional counseling or therapy. Instead, they allow participants to speak freely about their experiences, thoughts, and feelings regarding death, which can help reduce fear and anxiety around it. Refreshments provided.
